They do more than simply provide bandaids for playground scrapes or check temperatures when a child shows signs of illness; they are essential first responders to a range of medical concerns and diligently administer necessary medications during the school day. Congratulations to 7GA's Jessica Jefferson on being named the Arkansas Mid-Level School Counselor of the Year by the Arkansas School Counselors Association! The award is presented annually to school counselors in Arkansas who showcase leadership, collaboration, professional development, and exemplary conduct in their implementation of comprehensive, data-driven school counseling programs. ArSCA recognizes three school counselors annually, one from the elementary level, one from the middle school/junior high level, and one from the secondary level. Coach Volner Last week’s winner, Mrs. Walton, awarded the Academic Culture of Excellence Award to Coach Volner, saying… Coach Volner is dedicated to coaching two sports and the academic performance in the classroom at 7GA.
