This is the start of what will be a busy season for the Patriot quiz bowlers. On February 22, the Patriots will compete in a tournament held at Scott Charter School in Scott, Ark.; and on March 1, they will compete at an event in Wynne.

Then, on March 15, Marion will host the 6A East Regional Quiz Bowl Tournament, with teams from across east Arkansas converging on MHS for the event. The top three teams from that tournament are guaranteed a trip to the state competition, set for April 12.

Later in the year, in a first for the Marion team, the team is scheduled to travel to New Orleans to compete in Nationals. Marion was invited to Nationals on the strength of its performances during last year’s Quiz Bowl competition. That competition is set for May 23-26.
