Congratulations to the 70 Marion Junior High Band Members who earned a position in the Region IV All Region Honor Band during auditions held Saturday (Dec. 6) in Cabot. This was a record number, breaking the previous record of 66 that was set just last year.
Also, 7 students earned a first-chair position, also a school record (and the most first chairs of any school in the region).
Students will perform at the ASBOA All Region Clinic in January in Searcy.

The Marion Band Program will wrap up the semester with a pair of holiday concerts this week at the Marion Performing Arts Center. The festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 9) with a concert featuring the Marion Junior High Band and the Marion Seventh Grade Academy Band. Then, on Friday (Dec. 12), the Marion High School bands will take the stage for their holiday concert, also beginning at 6:30 p.m. Read more here: holiday concerts.
