7GA art students welcomed Melody Walker from the Sultana Museum. She spoke about the history of the Sultana and how it is so important to Marion. The students are competing in the Sultana Museum Art Contest. The winners will be announced on Sultana Day, April 27th.

The Marion School District is celebrating PURPLE UP! for Military Kids on Friday, April 19!
The month of April is recognized nationwide as the Month of the Military Child. Throughout this month, educators are encouraged to sponsor and promote activities in their schools and districts to recognize, celebrate, and honor the children of military families for their own sacrifices because of their parents' military service.
The Arkansas Council for Military Children has designated Friday, April 19 as Purple
Up! for Military Kids Day. Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to wear purple clothing on that day.
Please join us and wear PURPLE on Friday!
