Day 3: Staff Appreciation Week
What kind of cookie is your favorite?! Ours is
2NaHCO3 –> Na2CO3 + H2O + CO2
Finishing our kitchen lab up this year with a cookie lab for teacher appreciation week. Really enjoying our conversations on carbon dioxide, leavening agents, and the good ole Maillard reaction. Heavy on the science and heavy on the chocolate, we were able to break down the science and history behind that wonderful smell wafting throughout the building! Lots of trouble shooting and resolution for this lab and they nailed the perfect cookie! So very proud of them!
Everyone at MJHS is wishing Chris Hardin the BEST of LUCK. Chris is traveling today to compete in the Meet of Champions. Chris is the only 9th grade student from MJHS competing in this meet. Run fast Chris, everyone at MJHS IS cheering you on!!!
Lisa O'Neal stopped in at MJHS to leave all of the teachers a sweet treat for Teacher Appreciation Week. Thank you for always thinking of us at MJHS!
