The healing power of nature is immense and the benefits of the outdoors are incredible for physical and mental health. FACS students spent time today learning yoga and relaxation methods during their testing week to help relieve stress and aid in conflict resolution. Because the ground we walk on is full of positively charged ions, just realigning your electrical energy can create a whole new opportunity for your mental health. The Earth is like a gigantic battery that contains a natural, subtle electrical charge. Our entire world is beautifully electrical, and we are electrical beings made of atoms living amongst a plethora of other electrical beings! It can also make us more creative and reduce stress levels. Ask your child about grounding today! They can now teach others! Namaste and happy testing week!
Our leadership and service learning students are creating teacher appreciation cards for their teachers, and this one is for Mrs. Dupree. Mya did an astounding job in creating this!
Appreciation STEMS from Family and Consumer Science in the kitchen classroom! This week the FACS students have been hard at work baking and decorating sugar cookies for their favorite people in the building, the teachers! Our baking labs give students exposure to measurement systems, critical thinking, problem-solving, chemical reactions, structural principles, and exposure to real-world concepts. Students worked together so well in this lab with communication and sharing their math concepts, and previous techniques and gave an immense amount of constructive feedback. These cookies will be delivered to our MJHS staff tomorrow as one of the gifts to them to show all of our appreciation for their tireless commitment to their lives and education. Thank you so much to all teachers for all you do! FACS loves you!
