Mrs. McCracken's freshman Honors English students are studying Greek and Latin word parts this week. Each day students receive 18 Greek and Latin prefixes, roots, and suffixes and come up with a list of everyday words that utilize the given word parts. Their daily challenge is to use any 3 of the 18 words parts to create a new word and definition based upon the meanings of each selected word part. Multiple vocabulary entries were voted upon by faculty and staff members as "the best made up word," and Tuesday's winner was Kaitlyn Baldon. Stay tuned this week to see what other inspired vocabulary these creative students come up with for the Greek and Latin Vocabulary Bowl!
Kaitlyn's winning word and definition: misarchable--to mistakenly think you are the most important person
*Kaitlyn's picture was taken safely at a distance of 12 feet.
