
9th grade 2nd Quarter Awards 🎉






8th grader Rory Ellis and 9th grader Preslee Graham placed on the All-Tournament Team for AGBQA Regional Quiz Bowl Tournament in Jacksonville, AR today. Marion Junior High Quiz Bowl team took home 4th place and will be competing at the state tournament Feb 15.

Parents and guardians, beginning Tuesday, Feb. 4, all MJHS students will be taking the state ATLAS test. This exam is a computer-based test. It is important that your child come to school with their charged laptop every day. If they have lost their charger they will be able to drop their Chromebook in the library every afternoon to charge their laptop for the next testing day. Please help encourage your child to do their best on this exam. Many school rewards are tied to this test, and it will benefit them to do well. Thank you!

Today, advanced math students had the opportunity to learn more about the field of computer engineering. Special guest Jayden McNair, ASU Mid-South's Network and System Manager, shared how he began his training as a 10th grade student enrolled in the college's free technical education program. Students learned about the various specialty areas within the field of computer engineering, personal characteristics needed to be successful, career opportunities, and more. Whitley Green and Montel Smith, ASU Mid-South Career Coaches, were also present to remind students about the entrance requirements to take college classes, and how to enroll in college courses.
